**You MUST have a driver's license on hand in order to win the trip to Asheville! Volunteers will be checking - don't forget it at home!**
Also, please consider pre-registering your credit card and email address when you check-in at the registration table. In doing so, winning bidders may bypass checkout lines and proceed directly to the pick-up area to collect silent and live auction items. Receipts will be emailed to all Express Checkout bidders who provide an email address. Printed receipts are available upon request at the registration table once checkout opens after the close of the Fund A Need Auction.
Q. What is the cost of a ticket?
A. Each ticket costs $195 and automatically entitles you to participate in a drawing for a weekend getaway to Asheville, North Carolina, immediately following the Gala. NO additional purchases are necessary.
Q. I understand two additional sets of winners will be able to bid on the trip as part of the live auction. Please explain how that will work.
A. Yes, we have arranged for two additional packages that will be available to two sets of high bidders. The winners will have the exact same accommodations and experience as the people whose names were drawn. Consider this an opportunity to experience the “Jet Set Life” at a nominal cost. Our Auctioneer will offer each package separately, so why not plan ahead to have the trip of a life time and bid with some friends!
Q. What if my name is drawn, but I am unable to go to Asheville that weekend?
A. As guests check in, staff will ask whether you are able to participate. If you are NOT able to go to Asheville that weekend, we will simply not put your name in the drawing.
Q. What a great idea! But what do I do with my suitcase during the Gala?
A. Please leave your suitcase in your car. If your name is drawn, a Duffy employee will help you retrieve your suitcase and help you get on the plane.
Q. Where will I be able to park for the event?
A. There is plenty of parking. Parking attendants will be directing traffic and monitoring parking permits.
Q. What time will our flight depart on Friday, May 12 and what time will we return on Sunday, May 14?
A. The drawing will be held at approximately 7:00 pm and the plane will depart the Aerodrome at approximately 7:30 pm and return on Sunday, May 14 by approximately 4:30 p.m. Transportation to and from the airport in Asheville will be provided.
Q. What will happen to my car while I am gone?
A. Your car will be perfectly safe parked where it is while you are gone.
Q. If I win the drawing, can I invite anyone I want to come along with me?
A. Yes, as long as they are present at the Gala. You may not “phone a friend” to come join you. Please be considerate of the other winners.
Q. Are meals included in the trip?
A. A private wine reception will be held for all winners Friday night. Breakfast or brunch are available both Saturday and Sunday. You are on your own for lunch on Saturday. Dinner is provided Saturday night. You should be back in time for dinner Sunday evening. We are also including a $100.00 Visa gift card for each guest to use for activities on the trip.
Q. What will happen to the silent action items I purchased?
A. Duffy staff will hold them until you return.
